Our Mission: FORWARD is a nonprofit education foundation that supports the School District of River Falls. We raise private funds to enhance creative learning initiatives that engage, challenge, and inspire students.

FORWARD is a 501(c)(3) organization that distinguishes itself as a means for private giving separate from the core school district budget. The foundation: ​

  • Solicits, manages and distributes funds solely to the School District of River Falls

  • Enhances learning opportunities for students by further enriching the curricula

  • Empowers educators by funding new learning tools and initiatives

  • Is run entirely by an all-volunteer board of community members

Since our establishment in 2012, the FORWARD Foundation has awarded more than $145,000 for innovative projects in the River Falls schools! Every school in the District has benefited from FORWARD grants. 

 

Examples of past grants include WiFi hot spots, a 3D printer, ukuleles for youth, a pottery wheel, and intramural sports equipment.
